Advanced Interventions for Children
Are you looking for a workshop to learn innovative
techniques and rejuvenate your spirit? Then make time to attend this training!
This interactive workshop will focus on advanced and empirically-influenced
interventions for children ages 5 and up! A variety of creative interventions
will be presented and participants will have the opportunity to interact will
the activities to gain mastery and understanding. Topics covered include: anger
management, social skill training, grief/trauma resolution, anxiety reduction,
and positive behavior management.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
Participants will be able to:
1. Identify key developmental differences between children and adolescents.
2. List three benefits of directive and non/directive interventions.
3. Explain the difference between self esteem and self concept.
4. Role Play creative interventions to manage and express aggressive behaviors.
5. Identify benefits of social skills group therapy versus role play.
6. List over 15 techniques to manage a variety of behaviors.

These
workshops are being sponsored by Healing KIDZ. Healing KIDZ is approved by The
American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for
psychologists. Healing KIDZ is also approved by The National Board for Certified
Counselors (NBCC) and The Association for Play Therapy (APT) to provide
continuing education. Our Provider numbers are 5860 and 99-057 respectively.
This workshop has been approved by the National Association for Social
Workers-Louisiana Chapter (NASW-La) for 6.5 continuing education credits.
Healing KIDZ maintain responsibility for the program and adheres to APA and NBCC
Continuing Education Guidelines. 6.5 continuing education credits per workshop
will be awarded to participants who attend each entire day-long workshop.
