Play Therapy for the Attention Different Child
The Morning Section of this workshop will include a review of
current research as well as developmental components of this condition. A review
of conditions that mimic ADHD will also be covered to allow the participant to
discriminate between ADHD and other possible conditions. Assessment methods and
commonly prescribed medication will also be explored as part of a
multidisciplinary approach. Activities that help children express feelings,
regulate emotions, and improve self-control, concentration, and problem solving
skills will be covered during the afternoon section.

workshops are being sponsored by Healing KIDZ. Healing KIDZ is approved by The
American Psychological Association (APA) to offer continuing education for
psychologist. Healing KIDZ is also approved by The National Board for Certified
Counselors (NBCC) and The Association for Play Therapy (APT) to provide

This workshop has been approved by the National Association for Social
Workers-Louisiana Chapter (NASW-La) for 6.5 continuing education credits.
