Parent-Child Play Therapy - Helping Parents Solve Common Behavior Problems
Given a variety of tools, most parents are able to help their children work through a variety of common behavior problems. This workshop will review the history of filial (parent-child) therapy along with foundation skills to help parents connect with their children on a therapeutic level. The afternoon section will focus on many techniques that can be taught to parents that help foster healthy attachments, set limits, and reinforce positive behavior. A basic review of behavioral strategies will also be covered to assist parents in understanding behavior modification principles.

- Social and Developmental Changes
- Basic Theory of Filial therapy
- Forming Healthy Attachments
- Basic Principles of Behavior Modification
- Activities for Positive Behavior Management

The National Board for Certified Counselors
(NBCC) and The
National Association for Play Therapy (APT) recognize K.I.D.Z., Inc. as an
