"Not In My Playroom!"- A Guide To Setting Limits
This workshop is designed for the beginner play
therapist and will be centered on gaining a basic knowledge of the history of
limit setting, exploring personal values about settling limits, and learning
several limit setting techniques. Participants will be given the opportunity to
explore their values and beliefs about the need for limits in therapy as well as
common dilemmas faced in the playroom. Techniques from nondirective, directive,
and filial approaches will be review to give the participant a variety of
options.
Participants will be able to identify:
- Explore the history of limit setting
- Examine personal values and beliefs about
setting limits
- Learn limit setting techniques from various
theoretical orientations
- Process common playroom dilemmas

The National Board for Certified Counselors
(NBCC) and The
National Association for Play Therapy (APT) recognize Healing KIDZ, Inc. as an
