Working with step families can be a challenging endeavor for everyone involved. In this workshop the participant will gain knowledge on realistic expectations for step family development with an emphasis on educating the parents on common pitfalls to step family harmony. The resolution of grief issues will be presented with a structured treatment model that involves the entire family. The afternoon will focus on various experiential activities that therapists can use to help resolve grief, improve communication, develop attachments, and build a healthy stepfamily identity.
